The rail sector is nownoticing the impact of the problems and is struggeling too, since businesses are looking for other ways to transport their goods from Asia. It is - compared with air freight - a lot cheaper and environmentally friendlier. But prices and transit times within rail are increasing too. 

This is already a problem, let alone in the last quarter of this year. Thanksgiving, Black Friday and Christmas are just around the corner. The moment when the buying frenzy all over the world is cranking up even more. The pressure is on for the logistics sector. 

As a freight forwarder, trader or webshop owner, you don't want to disappoint your customers. Longer transit times means a Christmas tree without gifts. It will rain complains and you will potentially miss a big turnover.
